Unfortunate but probably correct...

Im still really afraid #2 is gonna win it for em. I know people who think Biden is responsible for the inflation and gas prices, and dont give a shit about anything else.

Smaller servings maybe?

Naw, at some point the bottom gets a bit soggy but it can be minimized. I think the key is the right kind of potato, blanching them and using a little corn starch. And maybe eat faster.

“so that makes it okay”

I’m also not convinced it wasn’t intentional.

I haven’t read the book (and won’t), but my understanding is that she recognizes it was systematic and she holds no animus toward Grande. The excerpt provided by Jezebel doesn’t seem to have that context, thereby sensationalizing it.

They really needed to lampshade that...

Holy shit are you related to this guy? This the second post you replied to explaining that he wasn’t “that bad”.

So the reason people are calling him a pedophile is

She was absolutely sexually harassed while underage (bikini photos, foot photos, massages) so I am really not sure why you are trying to split hairs here by saying it wasn’t actually rape. And it’s super creepy for you to describe these things as “got a bit too friendly.”

Kansas is a closed primary state that only allows you to vote for a candidate if you are registered for that party. Approximately 30% of Kansas voters are independent/unaffiliated, and it’s thus not surprising that around 20% of those who voted on the referendum did not vote for a candidate.

oh, they print them in english too. and yeah that is a memorable bar, although i think hazelnut remains my go-to... the dark one.

Ballot measures can absolutely be helpful, they are just not going to be enough. Making reproductive choice a central issue when voting for candidates will be doing something different (for Democrats at any rate, it’s a strategy the right has been using for years) and it will be essential to protect abortion rights.

Point of order: going forward in House of the Dragon-related commentary he should be referred to as Matt Daemon.

Yes, ultimately politicians are unfortunately mostly representing the people who vote for them - with added weight towards large donors, primary voters and volunteers - rather than the people who live in their districts. Add in issues like gerrymandering and unequal access to polls and things get skewed even further,

I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. One of my friends refers to Roe getting overturned as a “dog finally caught the car” situation. Like all politicians in our inflexible two party system, Republicans need to cobble together enough different factions to get a smidge ahead of the other candidate. “Pro life”

I have been protesting for abortion rights in Kansas since the 1980s and I can tell you that people were buzzing about this from the moment Roe was overturned. (Sadly, not much out there before that even though the churches had their “value them both” signage for months and months prior.) I’ve never seen people come

Giving notes like you describe and humiliating a child by saying their notes are so voluminous it would take all day to read them in front of the entire cast and crew are two different things.

As a gay man I can confirm that I don’t find anyone you mentioned attractive or handsome in the slightest, and I can pretty much guarantee that 99% of men and women I know would agree, regardless of politics or general douchebaggery.
