Anyone else watch this and think this b**** Is crazy? Lol
When I went on a trip with my now fiance to (secretly) propose, this was a big focus. I can’t eat gluten or drink beer (I will rarely, but at both our expenses lol) so I planned trips to local cideries. The biggest thing was our room. We stayed at an air bnb. Having the whole place to ourselves felt much more homey,…
Gluconeogensis, de novo synthesis of glucose from non-glycogenic sources.
But you know everything about gainz so it’s all good.... Bro. Lmao
I don’t ever say go with more protein cuz you need it, but I realize for myself that if my meat macros are higher I have a lot better time on my cut than with just super high fiber. Fatty foods never helped me a ton, either. I will regularly get 60g fiber during a cut (keeps my want for shitty foods down) but that…
You’re not getting any benefit from 1g or more/lb. It’s not being assimilated in amino acid form, it’s turning into carbs. Except you’re just wasting money, since meat is 10x more expensive than most carbs.
Protein is not sparing of lean muscle tissue. Carbs are.
“Naturally [revert] to” doesn’t really strike me as “good”. Naturally we have proven to be an extremely violent species. If we all followed what our body/brains said we wouldn’t be productive, kind, physically active (assuming we didn’t need to hunt) and would consume just fats and sugars. Most Americans already do a…
Naturalist theory says we are supposed to do something, but what research says it’s actually better for you? There’s been a ton of research done on the brain when sleeping, cognitive tests as well as stress related ones. I think we are doing better than fine by getting the normal 7-9 hours sleep, no mid night wakeup…
A good digital thermometer will work for all sorts of foods, projects and more. It can also keep you healthy. Not a fun hack, but for about $20 it’s gonna get a lot of love and your food will not be over or under due to unreliable breadcrumbs
I’m crashing with my in-laws right now. They politely hoarded (not tv worthy lol) 25+ years of stuff in their basement. Knowing how frugal the father in law is, if he followed this rule we’d have the basement to ourselves and not the junk! (Our room is in a small corner in the basement, the rest is just.... “stuff”)
If I have to use the oven, having a toaster oven keep the heat output down a ton. It usually cooks just as quick or faster since it doesn’t really need time to preheat
I know this isn’t a hack, but my presto deep fryer/multicooker is a life saver. The oil doesn’t pop up as bad as it would in a pan, it fries the entire food product at once. And, with a cheap temp controller it’s a wonderful sous vide. I could never go back to frying on a stove
Probably haha
As a mid 20s engaged guy who just moved into my soon-to-be in-laws’ house this April I have some insight. I think... lol
Things change dramatically when you fill a house that only had 2 daughters with a now adult daughter and her man (me), who has a very opposite personality from the 2 daughters. The parent’s are…
I’ve had powder stuck in the wash a couple times, must be my washer?
Spores don’t die at boiling temps, and can often be much worse than the bacteria they are created by. Also, every meat has bacteria and spores, so there’s no -might-, it’s an absolute.
I would emphasize one big point that people seem to be missing in the comment section. This is not just about bacteria. Spores will NOT die in boiling temperatures. It’s really just best to not use any marinade that’s been in contact with raw meats. If you bring your contaminated marinade to a boil, and don’t use it…
It needs to be boiled for several minutes. If any fat was added then it should boil about 10-15 minutes. Be more cautious serving that stuff to kids and elderly unless it’s been boiled for a long time, not just brought to boil. If you’re healthy and the meat wasn’t on the edge of expiration then just bringing to boil…
The biggest one missed is to wash your shoes! You shouldn’t do this with every shoe, leather being the first to come to mind, or with any fancy artwork that may fade or peel off. If you have a basic canvas shoe then throw them in the wash on warm (NOT hot). Use oxyclean and detergent and a small amount of OdoBan (I…
Anyone know how many watts the pi can handle? Most applications I might need it for require come sort of usable, but not excessive energy. The pictures I posted can handle about 2500 watts, for example
