Can someone start selling tallow, please? It’s amazing to cook with (fries omg). How did people STOP using it??
If you have time to kill research the hydrogenation process. They say specifically that most of the ingredients used for conversion are NOT completely used up, meaning they remain in solution. These aren’t just the catalysts used. After researching fully hydrogenated fats at Virginia Tech I refuse to use them,…
Check the frozen dessert aisle. There’s a lot there. Most desert esq treats have a mixing of trans fat, some baked stuff in the snack area like those strawberry wafers, some graham crackers, and liquids that try to emulate dairy like coffee creamer.
Not totally related but
He’s not perfect, but I think the vast majority of people could learn a thing or 2 about both cooking, and food safety from him. Especially about precautions.
Please, please, please have readers check out AmazingRibs.com
Not totally related, but has anyone else been having SwiftKey problems? My keyboard straight up disappears randmoly, even if I close the app I want to use it on the start over. Seems to have been after a so recent update...
Also, a deload is never a month long. That’s a personal choice, not a progressive way of getting more fit. Max I’ve seen or heard use for a deload is 2 weeks, but they are practicing their sport each day for an event or competition during that time. You’re on vacation after 2 weeks. Really if you’re not in excellent…
A deload is not a fitness term for taking days off. If you’re listening to a coach or trainer and they use that term to say take days off then run the other way and ignore all their advice. They’re the worst kind of trainer. They studied but don’t understand application.
You’re focusing on the potential outcome of mistakes vs the potential benefit for progress. Goes both ways. Except, if you’re trying to diet then you need to lean towards the potential benefit, unless you just self sabotage all your goals.
What’s with all the boo hoo about women and obese people? My female clients that have a kick ass attitude have had amazing results, but they gave a shit. I’ve had obese clients, too, those that gave a fuck, had integrity and we’re honest with me when they messed up always had great weight loss, too.
I just moved and miss kroger so much, never thought that I would lol.
Check the label. Brown rice isn't much better than regular old white rice. People think it's super healthy for some reason, but look how little fiber it actually has next time you buy some. It's definitely not a free food, but it's just fine in a diet if it fits within your caloric needs (just like most everything…
You can't lose weight without a calorie deficit, so offering a diet "tip" to exchange something for a higher calorie option is dumb. You have to use a LOT less cream or half and half to equal the calories used in skim milk.
Heard of de novo lipogenesis? Probobly not...
What are those reasons exactly?
For the most part, if a diet has a name then it's probably no good. I think the only notable exception is the Atkins diet. It's really just a low carb diet that Dr Atkins labeled for himself. Anything that has emphasis on certain macronutrients, as opposed to other bs like eat lots of xyz, is probably ok.
Dr. Stacy Sims (Osmo Nutrition) has done some awesome research on hydration and really knows what she's talking about. Thermal imaging and everything. By looking at her product it seems to also be of better quality. I haven't used Nuun, but it has a lot of citric acid. If that is buffered out by the bicarbonate then…
Not at Starbucks, all the same price. Everyone gets the same plan coverage options, even the managers.
This is for anyone who works over 20 hours. If you don't work that much, you don't get benefits at all.
I would HIGHLY encourage you to put a safety disclaimer on this... that if you want to test the bounds of your food that is refrigerated you really need to make sure the temps are good in your fridge. Use a calibrated thermometer, go digital, or get a fridge thermometer that will pretty much last forever, unless you…
