LOL, this was freaking AWESOME! thanks for that!!!

and I had several of the swaps myself. My fav by a long shot was the ZC with a turbo. It was SO much smoother than any of the other engines.
Having owned a 91si and currently an 87 911, though they are both fun; I must say I honestly don’t think I could chuck my 911 into a turn nearly as fast as I could my CRX after it had a few mods. That being said, I think if I did those same mods to my 911 I’m sure it could. The thing about the US spec CRX’s, well they…
I purchased 91si for the grand sum of 6k in 1995, drove the stank out of it for 12 years. Had my sister back her Suburban into it, lifting it on two wheels 3 1/2 ft in the air before she even heard my horn. After that came the mods. 1st was a ZC turbo engine, then a b16 vtec with a turbo. Though the best engine to me…
My mother has owned one sense new. I think many of the improvements to the car was in part due to it sharing several Mercedes parts, or derivatives of the Mercedes W220 and W211.
For YEARS Porsche’s were marketed and advertised as the daily driven exotic. Though I wouldn’t use the term ‘exotic’ car with the majority of P-car’s
Most of the time when I surf P-car stuff I am looking for 911 parts, upgrades and the like. Out of the norm last night I was rummaging around the net for 944’s, 968’s, and 928’s. The 944turbo was the 1st Porsche I considered buying and drove for a week after I spent the same amount of time in a RX7 turbo. I liked the…
scratchin my head.... “boxster are rwd, engine in the front” I get the rwd part, but engine in the front?
Older cars, IMHO I think the VDO clock is what kills the battery. This really isn’t an issue if the car is driven like a normal car, daily or least a couple times a week.. But all the models that use a VDO clock which include several models I think the last being made in 1998 with the 993 suffer the dreaded dead…
Though I have only owned one, having owned it now almost 8 years (87targa). I’ve driven the snot out of it and it has yet to leave me stranded. The only issue I have had that really put the car down for any amount of time was the voltage regulator went out. Sort of a PIA to fix, but not too bad.
I’m kinda partial to Swedish Warhead (I know its Israeli)
No self respecting ‘thug’ would roll with the top down in a Volvo, much less have a 9ft missile in full view. just sayin
a good length of stove pipe, a wadded up “My Pillow” for shoulder cush, and an old Bell full face helmet for the rocket blast, and you’re set!
yup, need one on each side/pod for Joe Cain day parade, Veterans Day parade. They could double up as fishing rod carriers....
lol, THANKS for that Tyler!
Now, if we were all that bad I would have gotten the call when they passed within a mile from my house along I-10 at the end of the Mobile Bay bridge. Damn shame too, I could have met them at the overpass and tossed bricks atum when they drove under.... DAMN REDCOATS
THANKS for that Tomokomo, really great to get 1st hand what Niki said. Wish we had that sort of thing during our broadcast. cheers for that!!
Thanks for the recap Stef. My DVR didn’t capture the post race interviews, so I have been struggling to find them. Naturally I came here first because you do a pretty good job of giving those. So hard to believe the decision to pit landed on Lewis’s shoulders. Feel gutted for the guy, he had this race in the bag and…
I welcome it here in Alabama. If not in England better here than Mexico, China, or elsewhere. Besides, I think it is a move by Aston to try and get some of the Porsche pie with their new place in GA. Having a high end brand might bring others, bring em all I say...... oh and ROLL TIDE ROLL
might have added one too many IMO/IMHO :)
