We'll, they need to make room for the presidential seal somehow.

Since when did bumper cars ever get such cool body work? The ones at the Jersey shore all looked like inverted bathtubs, as I recall them. Not fair.

This would be difficult, as it would involve inventing a time machine and traveling back to say "no thanks" to the Chevette, then buying something that I could pine for today.

OK, so the scoop affixed to the side glass is one of those pockets you hang outside your office door for the mail drop. I love resourcefulness, but resourcefulness like that is seriously scary.

I think there needs to be a CFC memorial constructed out of dealer displays created to promote this fiasco.

@geschmidtt: These are the times when the salesman needs to be capable of ditching the script.

Is there any more homogenized segment than this one? Line 'em up, strip off their badges and just try to tell 'em apart. Snore.

BMW = Beige Mule Walking

I have never seen a tach like that.

For me, #47 was the LOL shot. My dryer has a slicker control panel than that.

@87CapriceEstate: You could probably find a Country Squire — one on the Panther platform — to replace the Caprice. I've never owned one, but I see some examples around that must be pushing 30 years old, and just starting to rust. And this is in NJ, definitely tinworm country.

@Ash78: I see what you did there. Between this and the kite thing yesterday, you're scaling new heights of subtlety.

Put it this way: if something falls into the 'unacceptable' range in a life-or-death test (as opposed to low-speed bumper impact), I'd probably scratch it off my list. It may feel manly to say you don't care or you're a good enough driver to stay out of trouble, but we don't live in a vaccuum, family-wise or socially.

If they'd done Cash for Clunkers this way and charged admission, they could have funded the whole program through adolescent boys.

He liked his '50s iron in 4-door and wagon form, didn't he?

I've always wanted an Alfa Area Loop Drive;)

@Ash78: Zing. COTD.

CFC = Call Fritz. Chop chop.

Why does this look like it was done in Paint?

If you're going to do that to your car, there should at least be flowers involved.
