In her book she talks about entering speech competitions starting really young, which explains the polished feel I think throws you off. Of course she has some influence from her father, but if you became an international sensation as a pre-teen I would assume you would too.

I have the same haircut. I have had short hair for years and am pretty stoked to start seeing it more and more in popular culture. I love my haircut!
