Also, just to get it out there first, the right wing and/or racist strawman response to this is "well now EVERYONE will lose their jobs!"

Onaodowan is a serious talent but if he is not selling tickets he's not selling tickets.
my mom wouldn't drink for being too strong
Same here. I bought two Classics when they announced they were killing them off - one as an immediate replacement for my close-to-decade-old 5th gen iPod Video, and one sitting at home tucked away as an extra.
I think my "favorite" part is the "Blessed Be the Emoji" tagline in the tweet's text. :D
In rare cases it does work. The one that comes to mind is Chuck, the NBC TV series. They had a deal with Subway and, when the show was in danger of getting cancelled, fans of the series went to Subways en masse. I don't know if that played into their decision to renew, but the fans got headlines and the show *did*…
You're probably right, and *most* of those movies are probably going to be steaming piles. But the optimist in me wants to hold out hope we get a surprise gem somewhere along the way. :)
…maybe it's good I don't get GSN any more. Buzzr for the win! :D
Hey, just because it's based on an app doesn't mean it's inherently bad. The Lego Movie managed to be stellar somehow. It's not impossible one of them works out, though that'd be because they stumbled on the right creative people.
Feel free not to click, buuuuuuuuuuut… :D
If we stick with animated, Hotel Transylvania is decent and the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is great.
Wreck-It Ralph was good, but that was also primarily about the characters and worlds they created. If Ralph spent the entire movie traipsing through, say Ubisoft's games that'd be a more apt comparison. As it stands now, Ralph only uses the existing games and characters as cameos and does so very skillfully.
This movie is going to become an interesting time capsule, if nothing else.
I sort of love that ad, for the sheer WTF factor and for the fact that whoever made it and approved it clearly has no idea what the hell Handmaid's Tale is actually about. It's so bad it wraps around and becomes…not good, but… :)
Never mind that Trump watches way too much TV for his own good so there is a nonzero chance he hears about this, why the fuck is that always the go to response? Who cares whether or not a segment on a late night talk show does "a god damned bit of good" or not? If it helps people to cope, that's enough by itself.
I'm a little sad about this one, but that's mostly dwarfed by gratitude for the sheer amount she gave to us all.
Either I missed something, or half of the other commenters did. Wasn't the announcement last week the release date, with no other information attached? I think this is the first "real" confirmation we have that Craig will be returning.
Cartman is the same way.
Don't forget that they're about to yank health care away from millions of people.
His most recent album went platinum multiple times in a lot of countries, so…yes?
