From the Hollywood Reporter article I read about this yesterday, before he passed away, they mentioned that falls were one of his specialties. I suspect (or am hoping, at least) that this was more of an equipment failure or perfect storm of things going wrong scenario than negligence or laziness.

So you're worried that…it might be good? That doesn't seem like a problem to me…

The thing that hit me was, when I was looking on Facebook last afternoon for updates on his condition, one of the posts had a link to his profile. I tapped, for reasons I don't quite understand, and a lot of it was public. Sharing stunt work he thought was cool, pics of a fishing trip with his girlfriend…and just

I'm not seeing anything official yet, but I'm seeing recent posts (last half hour or so) from other actors and stuntmen on both Facebook and Twitter saying he passed away.

I know, but the same time, the basic physics of it - an adult male, falling 30 feet and landing on a surface like concrete that's not going to dissipate energy on impact like something softer might…

I did edit to clarify a bit - I don't have a problem with her post, and that's a totally understandable reaction even though I think it's sadly unrealistic.

The Hollywood Reporter article includes this:

From the Hollywood Reporter article…

You seemed to be quoting the prosecutor's statement that there was a case as evidence that there was a case in an attempt to convince people that there was a case. It isn't.

It's just generally backwards to give a prosecutor the benefit of the doubt like that.

Nah, instead they're signing petitions to free Roman Polanski, working with Woody Allen as though nothing happened, and Johnny Depp is playing shows with fucking Patti Smith. No one gives a shit what these guys have done.

I don't disagree, but it's also not like the majority of celebrities are significantly more available to the public.

Which was that, specifically? Because I remember her going nuclear on him after his Golden Globes achievement award.

I deleted a couple of my comments on second thought, but the fact that his family has such drastically differing versions of what happens makes me question if it'd have even been possible to get a conviction.

Liberals will bend over backward protecting Woody Allen, Roman Polanski and Johnny Depp, and I think it's fucking bullshit.

To expand on that, he did also state that he had probable cause.

I don't think anyone would disagree that Cosby is significantly worse, but between Dylan's public statements and writings, and the fact that Allen married the adopted daughter he'd known since she was nine I'm not comfortable with saying that there's "a great deal of doubt".

Yeah, I'm with you and not Erik on that one. These things are obviously subjective but Hercules dragged a little for me. I thought Starcrash was both an easier watch and a hell of a lot funnier.

Two Purple Rain jokes in one episode, but they both worked. :D
