Fruitcake is the best. It’s also traditionally wedding cake where I’m from. Mmm, even better with marzipan and royal icing. Also: mince pies and rum balls.

I love both panettone and fruitcake. I have standing orders with all friends that I get first dibs on any unwanted fruitcakes. I also make french toast from both(I will make french toast from any and all bread/pastry products. e.g. brioche, apple fritter)
