I didn’t like it at first either.

Thank you! I appreciate it, but I don’t like it, like it. Mostly it’s funny to me that so many people feel bad for characters who wouldn’t piss on any one of us if we were on fire. The AV Club comment section is wild. It’s not clear to me that they understand that these characters are terrible people. But people think…
I watched the whole first season and appreciated some of it on a technical level, but just could not bring myself to care about any of the characters and the stakes felt entirely meaningless. For the record I actually love shows where people are being mean to each other but the requirement is that at least one…
Because it’s white people being all thirsty and aspirational. Coveting the lives of rich, powerful assholes is what white people do. Aaron Sorkin wouldn’t be in business otherwise.
Yup. Tina knew bipartisanship was a waste of fucking time.
Just because I’m the only one who seems to adore it so, shout out to her theme song (with Bono and The Edge) from Goldeneye. That song still rocks.
I think this is a well-intentioned statement, likely doable in most casual conversations or offhand mentions—but it’s probably not practicable for any remotely serious discussion of her career (and, arguably, her legacy.)
No one did alternative dispute resolution like Tina. Two men enter, one man leaves. Nothing could be simpler.
I feel like her foray into politics, city management and emergency response deserved at least a mention.
It’s a fairly jarring exchange between hosts on a network that’s spent the last year or so doubling down on fearmongering casting LGBTQ people as groomers and child sexual predators.
This news seems like it was only a matter of time before he ended up jailed for his stupidity, though I might’ve thought a beatdown from someone would’ve accompanied it.
I understand the “technically excellent” to mean that it was good or great, but that it just wasn’t going to be as good as it was with Pitt, with whom she apparently had some crazy chemistry and connection. Affleck could be the best lover ever, but having strong chemistry with another person, being in love, etc., are…
Maybe Affleck and Pitt could comment on the accuracy of Goop candle smells....but then again, they probably wouldn’t kiss and tell like a classless person would.
Elizabeth Banks, Geena Davis, Uma Thurman, Marcia Cross, Jennifer Coolidge, Madeline Kahn, oh and Bette Davis... I think they all have had influence on style.
that’s actually a good way to describe him.
Aside from GOOPy being a bit low class for saying anything at all...
Is it bad that when I read the headline my first thought was “ooohhh more waterproof brownish-black Great Lash for me”? I also like their Cheek Heat gel blush, and the BB cream tinted moisturizer is pretty sweet too.
I got it for the first time this past spring (I'm 35). Apparently I got it from my 4 year old daughter, so go figure. Anyway, I've spent so much of my adult life dealing with bouts of chronic depression and raising small children that I went weeks thinking this was just more of the same and forcing myself to go to…
Nope! She was manipulative and I was weak.
I had it in college. Worst sore throat imaginable. It was such agony to swallow - not swallow anything in particular, just the physical act of swallowing - that I had to brace my myself on something and metally prepare to do it every single time. I didn't feel any more fatigued than normal, though. The doctor hooked…
