I think its also a sign of the times. When I was his age there was no internet. So most you could have expected is coverage on the local news. Look at nowadays. if something cool makes it onto local news.. it could go viral and be global in minutes or hours.

totally agree. I'm a working professional who only has a couple hours a week to game. But I do have disposable income. Rather get a chance to try out all the guns and stuff instead of being stuck with just a M4 the whole time.
