Ethanol has less energy per gallon, yes, but it can run at higher compression ratio. We had pure ethanol cars in Brasil that ran at 11:1 compression ratio. Since it was considerably cheaper than gasoline, it paid off.

That’s a terrible analogy. Google claims to give you the best search when in fact it’s manipulating the search results. Having a promoted space is one thing but the actual results are also manipulated.

It’s like you’re running an Italian restaurant in New York. The New York Times buys interest in its own restaurant chain. Then it runs a series of reviews of all Italian resturants giving everyone 2, 3, or 4 stars except it’s own chain which it always gives 5 stars.

Humans living forever would be an absolute, neverending shitshow nightmare. We’d exhaust all the resources on the planet in a staggeringly short amount of time, and while we did that, it would prolong oligarchies indefinitely, leading to a class of uber-rich immortals with 99.999% of the planet’s resources.  

In other words, the citizens of Europe elect politicians who care about them rather than the ones bankrolled by companies.

It’s like Europe actually cares about its citizens and not just the profits of companies which bankroll politicians.
