Modern smokeless powder isn’t corrosive. If we’re talking about corrosive ammunition, that’s the mercury salts contained in certain types of military primers, not the powder. Even then that’s only found in either a. Old military surplus ammo, or b. modern production military ammunition from old Warsaw pact countries.

If it doesn’t have good low light performance, then it’s not worth buying no matter what else it can do. At least not for me. I won’t be happy until my phone can capture a non-blurry shot of my kid in motion in a dimly-lit room (which is quite frequently the type of shot I’m trying to capture).
Since they aren’t permitting them to be flown within 500 feet of people, structures or vehicles, and have to fly under 500 feet in altitude, if they’re operating legitimately, they won’t ever be over crowded areas.
but I wonder how well that would work in a crowded area
One of the issues I have with drones (owning serveral myself) and one the biggest concerns I have, has to do with the lack of failsafe systems, especially concerning power (or lack of).
Skylake chip can give you 2.5x the raw performance, 30x the graphic and 3x the battery life of a five-year old laptop
I am strangely aroused.
Why is Gawker so callously irresponsible as to glorify this kind of stupid stunt by posting about it? Giving kids fame for being so dumb leads to horrible accidents.
He can 3D print a detailed jet, but can’t print a phone stand?
I would expect a model steam train engine to run on steam. I would expect a fully functional model Ferrari F1 engine to run on gasoline (building tiny gasoline engines is actually a pretty popular engineering hobby).
well “fully functional” would be the issue there.
Exactly, it’s not a working model jet engine. It’s a ducted fan model of a jet engine. Very impressive, but very different.
3D printer to make a fully-functional scale model of a Boeing 787’s GE-built turbofan jet engine.
They’re probably gonna take his house too, for interfering with their space agency or some such
“Those Canadians are just waiting for all those militias to disband so they can invade.”
Barnacles are exclusively marine, meaning they die if they’re desiccated for too long. They typically live in shallow waters as suspension feeders, glomming onto solid substrates in the water column. I think the main curiosity regarding the barnacles is how/why/where the flaperon remained suspended long enough for…
The BBC has reported that ground penetrating radar seems to have uncovered “a train equipped with gun turrets.”
