And yet, autopilot in planes is more or less completely automated. Pretty much any landing today is done fully automated - at least those I have seen the last few years. Every Pilot I know (and I have quite a few pilot friends) confirmed that automatic landing is more or less standard procedure.

Just on a note, having driven a Tesla for roughly 6 months - the interior of this car is LOUSY. The Model S I´ve driven here cost more than the Range Rover I drive now (Tesla was ~130k, RR was 108k€) while offering the most terrible interior I have yet to see again on any car in the 60k€ + Bracket.

A CPU like yours pushes around 100 Gigaflops - so a lot less. Teraflops are reached by graphics chips. 6 Tflop ~ equals a Geforce 980 Ti graphics card.
