I was particularly impressed when the camera elevated and hovered above the small group as they conversed. How did they do that in the tracking shot? Could have it been a crane? It didn't seem like it could be, as it was a 360 shot.

Yeah, another great example of that was in last season when Bertie and Lucy started randomly laughing about the size of the pretzel.

Is it bad that I feel a little sorry for Barrow? I know he's a despicable human being, especially when he abandoned his vulnerable wife last episode. But he seems like one of those characters whose flaws stem mainly from their insecurities and frustrated masculinity. He's that nebbish, bookish kind of guy who has

Yeah… if he did in fact cure Abby's syphilis, shouldn't that be a bigger deal? By that point, there was still no existing cure for the disease and people were succumbing to it by the thousands each month. Or would they not try to expose their methods - considering how dangerous and potentially lethal it is?

But you can make the argument that, by humiliating Algie in such a public forum, he is helping his eugenics cause - which is inextricably entwined with his base-line racism.

Yes, but Opal can be a little inconsiderate to Algie too. Of course, her brashness and backbone is very helpful when it comes to resisting racist oppression and furthering the interests of her community. But she has also, on several occasions, put her partner in difficult and uncomfortable positions.

He's a bit of an asshole and boring as a wooden plank. But he does remind me of a young Josh Brolin.

What I like about Norwalk is that (a) he can write quite poetically and (b) he's interested in dissecting the technical aspects of the show. But I have to admit that the full-on production analysis sometimes comes at the expense of a neat, coherent review. Especially this season.

That did stretch believability though. That he was able to confidently pocket and switch the bottles in front of an entire operating theatre.

Exactly. Came on here just to make those two corrections. Lucy gave Wu the foot so that she could pay for the dress. And Carr did not die - Gallinger saved him in the last minute to humiliate Algie and earn the "White Knight" status.

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't think Carr had actually died. With all that talk of "Gallinger the White Knight saves the day", I thought that his plan was to save him at the last moment and show Algie up in front of a reporter and the medical community.

OH! And there's this sandwich that Adam Sandler makes in Spanglish :D

The moon cheese in Wallace & Gromit. Also, those strange pancake-y breakfast things that the Teletubbies ate every morning.

Anyone else think the music sounds very similar to Eef Barclay's score for Rocket Science?

It just occurred to me that this episode (and another) was directed by Craig Zobel, who is arguably responsible for Ann Dowd's recent success and appearance in everything. Her performance in Complicity was her breakthrough.

Nobody is referring to you as Satan incarnate. I think many people in this comment section, fans or detractors, resent the fact that you just freely admitted it's warranted to get pissed off at people who like a show you so openly dislike.

Or like those farmland scenes in Looper?

Yeah, she looked quite glamorous. Aged very well.

Exactly! I came on here just to same the same thing.

Are you sure that isn't the following episode? The one with the salesmen, right?
