If fascists take over, nothing matters except what they say, what they want to do to you, fighting back, or getting out. There’s no comfort in pretending their bullshit is clever, either. There’s no comfort, full stop. They’re just dumb monsters talking to other dumb monsters.

The Venn diagram of people dumb enough $600 on a Christmas ornament and to dumb to realize that purchasing stuff from the Trump campaign store is a campaign donation is a single circle.

The most generous way you can frame this is that Kelly thinks the attitudes that the attitudes and standards at Fox are in sync with the larger demographic that watches the Today show (they’re not), and that defending blackface is acceptable.

To his credit, he left the swastika off, which seems to be de riguer at this point in games and other historical diversions.

Update - the pilot escaped the crash without any serious injures.

This is, indeed, a good omen.

If you’re not a fascist scumbag, you have to understand and remember that it is dumb, even if it works - if for no other reason than for your own sanity. It’s wrong to dehumanize people, and it’s bad faith bullshit.

There was absolutely none of this “civility” garbage in 2010 when Democrats were getting rinsed out at their town halls (that they continued to have, to their credit) over the ACA.

It can be both the a method to dehumanize political opponents and dumb.

Beep boop boop calculating, people aren’t far left and don’t hate orange man.

It’s so fucking dumb, he sounds like he’s doing a lame robot bit. DO any NPCs in any game go “beep boop beep”?

McConnell has already changed senate rules to fit his short term goals, and will do it again. McConnell prefers cover, but will act without it.

From:

Then Schumer should be doing that, and sending only vulnerable senators home instead of this pointless deal.

It was dumb to make a deal for those 15 judges when the deal doesn’t involve other judges.

This is going towards supporting my argument (and the article’s, really) in that people don;t understand the technicalities on senate procedure, but do understand that Schumer get’s played again and again, and that, in his public statements, doesn’t even seem to know or care that he’s getting played.

It’s not that Schumer has a practical option for stopping these appointments if McConnell wants to ram them through - most people watching this get that.

I have really progressive and leftist policy preferences, mostly to the left of where the Democrats are. Centrist Democrats would characterize a voter like myself as unwilling to compromise, or recalcitrant and unwilling to support the party - which is not true. I vote Dem down the line, and will continue to do so

This is perfectly reasonable, and mirror’s McConnel’s behavior when he had the majority during Obama’s tenure.

That’s odd - I’m reading the text:
