Remember this the next time you see someone complaining about how the left tramples “free speech” when they meet right wing speech with more numerous left wing speech.

Whatever else Republicans and right wingers say, the defining aspects of both movements are racism, sexism, and gaslighting bullshit.

“... How do you regulate a legal activity based on someone’s opinion? That is a slippery slope.”

This is the story of racism and Nazism. Strong and determined when they’re in the crowd, weak and confused when seperated from it’s strength.

I’d suggest that your analysis may be making the mistake of assuming total competence on the part of Bannon.

“I’m armed, I do not want violence with you, alright?” Cantell said, breaking down in sob. “I’m terrified, I’m afraid you’re going to kill me, I really am, all right?”

I would point out that Bitcoin can be useful as a way of transferring wealth and be a terrible investment and useless as a currency.

The median income in the US is around $50,000. If you’re making even $250K, you’re already making much more than most of the people in the country. Rank a person making $250K against everybody in the world, and that person is still part of a very small minority - probably much smaller.

It’s not like we we have only two choices as far as policy on police carrying guns (either they get them or they don’t). We could have a system where most cops don’t carry, some cops carry a pistol or rifle, and a small group of highly trained cops carry an array of weaponry to deal with rare, uniquely dangerous

“Cops shouldn’t carry guns, like 30 other countries.”

...and do you also have any plans to write an article on how countries like Japan refuse to take in empty chairs, even in the face of a diminishing supply of seating?

I would say you really didn’t make a mistake.

I think we agree in that there’s no practical excuse for their (the dealers’) behavior, and this guy not calling ahead is not an excuse to treat him like dog food.

Dude...

I would say that the customer’s error was an error of ignorance, and I use the term “ignorance” in a purely non-pejorative sense - he didn’t realize how helpful it is to call and make an appointment.

This is is the type of thing you’ll need:

It’s not a question of a “straw man” - I’m not attacking a straw man, because you do same thing here as you did in your initial post - conflate and confuse the moral imperative and the practical limitations.

You’re conflating practical arguments and moral arguments.

How about McConnel splits the difference, and put’s up a bill where 30 million citizens, chosen at random, get an icepick jammed into their left kneecap?
