yeah, but alongside all the controversies, ActiBizz also has a treasure trove of IPs that are worth the toxicity (from Call of Duty to World of Warcraft and everything in between), while Ubisoft has, like, 4 generic open world franchises and 6 GaaS shooters, half of them licensed (the Tom Clancy stuff).

It’s so depressing to see how far Ubisoft has fallen. I remember when they were one of the greats. Like, seeing the ubisoft logo as you booted up a game was roughly equivalent to seeing A24 or Miramax before a movie began.

“why nobody wants to buy us? I mean, we make the most insipid, unispired videogame-adjacent sludge in the business, while also being more toxic than a Chernobyl whorehouse owned by the Mafia, and also NFTs!

After playing through “It Takes Two” and constantly having godawful cutscenes and terrible constant dialogue shoved down my throat for extended periods in between short segments of fantastic gameplay, I welcome the Fromsoft approach of being almost pure gameplay with the story being something that you don’t have to

Yeah, this could have been a pretty good article but how negative it is, for basically no good reason, renders it basically junk. It’s 90% “This isn’t what I want” and 10% “Oh wait, maybe I should backtrack a little on the hate...? Nah.”

I know it’s annoying that the translator wouldn’t answer the writer’s DMs, but that doesn’t necessarily warrant the negative tone of the article.

Are we really picking on fan translators now? Are we throwing a tantrum because they aren’t working on this one specific thing when these are just passion projects with relatively little budget? Remember empathy, people.

I’ll take any Tokimeki over no Tokimeki, and it’s unfair to be picky over something we’re receiving

“We’re ahead of schedule.”

Consumer protections is also a real concept.  I didn’t preorder this, and for most games I buy it’s usually months after the release.  That does not mean companies should be absolved from selling broken products to consumers.

To a point yes, but with the announced delay of S1 content that complicates things. Plus the fact that EA, again, seems to have lied about the state of an open beta build, claiming that the BF2042 open beta was months old when...there was nearly no change between that build and the build at launch.

A petition sends a message. We as the consumers will no longer tolerate these garbage products. Stop buying these games. Stop buying Madden. Make them try harder so that they deliver a quality product.

These are great examples of how the general public doesn’t understand how hard it is to create video games, especially online-focused titles.

I normally couldn’t give a shit about Billie Eilish, but I hope she tells Kanye to go fuck himself.

I have no skin in this game because I don’t watch streamers like this, but I think it’s at least pretty shitty to stream yourself spending exorbitant amounts of money on a luxury car if you’re using socialism as a brand. There’s a difference between buying nice shit with your money every now and then and bragging

It really should go without saying at this point, but this is a product of his own rhetoric, in large part. The character gets him paid. I’m sure the occasional dissonance doesn’t bother him.

Wouldn’t an actual socialist consider excess participation in materialism directly detrimental to their long term goals? He’s literally lining the pockets of the kind of companies he ascribes societal ills to lmao

If only it was just him dropping the n-word, but the dude also thinks black people have different brains.

You don’t get to go, “Oops, the racism was accidental!” when you’re spouting phrenology-like bullshit.

Real talk, this update is a joke. A month of radio silence, 3 months after launch, and this update literally says nothing. They could have said, “We’ll work with you on improving the game” at the beginning of the month, or in Nov/Dec. and it would have meant just as much - nothing.

Yes it's too much of a recap rather than analysis

I’m not sure how to put this constructively but I feel like the reviews could use less beat-by-beat summarizing what happens in the episode. Like I assume most of the readers watched the episode too.
