I was a tester working on the alpha of what was then known as Oblivion Lost (Released as Shadow of Chernobyl).

Get out of here, Stalker!

If you enjoyed the post-apocalyptic feel of Fallout, I'd heartily recommend STALKER. Any of them, in fact, with the possible exception of Clear Skies.

It was originally going to be True Crime: Hong Kong.

I keep meaning to make a couple of Archer characters for it, but never get spare time away from other stuff :/

SO - a guy goes on a boat with a friend who doesn't know how to sail said boat, doesn't know what a lifebuoy is, and has such sissy arms he can't throw a rope which is a huge mistake because the guy can't swim very far at all and previous to this fateful boat trip apparently his two choices in life were either to

This is what happens at the start of a console generation, though. We get games tailored for a specific console that do look amazing, and match the best looking games on PC.

"As you play, your forces grow bigger, accrue more power"

I own several that would, I just don't enjoy using gamepads except in cases where analog controls work better (like driving/flying).

I could give it a try with a gamepad, but I just don't like relative controls for games that ask for precision.

Do we know yet if the controls on PC are as terrible as the original Dark Souls PC version?

The mod itself looks pretty damn good. Perhaps as part of a whole instead of singled out for ridicule, the knockback effect can work. Especially when you're playing the game and not watching a video focusing on every knockback effect.

That was my first thought, too. I guess Doom Guy does wear a helmet with a glass visor, but it's a shitty effect that does nothing for the game.

Not a complete LEGO set unless it includes a K-Log figure.

The mods not working together is due to you picking incompatible mods or simply ones that do not work.

Because Steamworks is a lot easier to use and is one less thing to install.

SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LOOK AT MY WAD.

It's a really impressive piece of work. Not just the fact that it's professional quality (as in, the same quality you'd expect at LEGOland) but the construction that allows it to stand up unaided (except, perhaps, the wall it leans against) is amazing.

Nightmare fuel.

The phrase you're looking for is "Deus Ex Machina". It is the epitome of the expression.
