My mom owned R50 Mini Cooper in Yellow. Admittedly I laughed at the color, but the car was so much fun. Mom bought yellow so big SUV’s would see her.

I love cars and I love money.. hence why I am not in car sales but enterprise software sales. Car sales jobs aren’t the most lucrative sales job. If you like nice cars youre never going to afford one selling them at a dealer

That has to be one of the worst high five executions ive ever seen

Pffft... You can’t beat these for weight/dollar ratio. And I bet this Chevy still runs better than all of those other cars

Overlanders & JK Wrangler owners. The guys with rooftop tents, LED lights, snorkels, and armor.

As someone nearing 40...I dont have $20k to blow on a bike i’ll only use on the sunny season weekends. I rather own a BMW GS too.

ave you seen the Millionth 911 in Irish Green? Green cars especially sports cars I in resurgence

I have two friends that left great design jobs at Hyundai/Kia & Nissan (just down the road in OC & SD) for Faraday. They threw a ton of money at them to come over just a few years ago. I caught up with one of those friends last week and he mentioned how often he is on Linkedin and Core77 (Industrial Design Community),

Wait what?!! How are they saving on flights? Last I remember Los Angeles is closer to Japan than Texas.

Im surprised no one has mentioned the Cayman/Boxter engines. Considering Porsche barely lets you even see the motor i’d guess they would have parts that were very hard to get to

You obviously have never been to Australia. Having lived there for 6 years and LA most recently I can tell you hands down Aussies drive for the most part far better than Americans.

I drove and rented the most recent generation, It wasnt bad. What soured my taste was the MPG was about the same or worse than my Jeep WJ with a 4.7l V8. At least my WJ had a solid front axle and better torque. WJ’s are a great 4x4 deals BTW.

This car already has a long deposit list of wealthy buyers. If you’re in the “stretching your finances” for a GT3 demographic, Porsche will laugh you out of the showroom if you’re bitching about a few grand. Most of these will be bought with massive downs or cash.

add in the Wrangler is probably the most simplistic (body on frame, solid axles f&r, traditional transfer case,...) of any mass-produced car available and that the Wrangler has such a huge fanbase most every issue has been solved or has an aftermarket.

Long Beach isnt exactly Hippie-dom.

Those mid/late 2000's Chevy Tahoe Hybrids. I know right? Hear me out.

Exactly. If a car has done over 150k ..hell 200k you know it was made on a Tuesday and the owner was anal retentive with the maintenance.

Yes this. I lived in Australia for many years and know the automotive scene down under quite well. I actually would say NZ/OZ is NOT a great place to be an automotive fan.

Agree. I had a rental Compass in Hawaii. Despite the low speeds most drivers go on the island it felt dog tired and underpowered. The interior was terrible and it was very small in the inside. Worst car i’ve driven in a VERY long time

This doesnt surprise me that it was in Australia.
