Tempest, is probably my favorite game ever ever, the Jaguar version of Tempest 2000 is IMO the pinnacle of Tempest. Project Tempest Jaguar emulator http://pt.emuunlim.com/ is the best for running it, and you can find the rom from a simple google search as I think kotaku frowns on rom links :D

Falling thru the map, then, letting your dude fall for ages, then doing a /stuck, let my guy advance to the top of the map without getting there, it was ace :) You can trigger this in dungeon cells by letting a bad guy hit you with a knock back effect in small corridors, its ace :D
