They aren’t “racist” comics nerds. They’re comics purists. The character was originally presented one way. Comics purists want the actor/actress cast to play that character to accurately reflact that original presentation.

If you choose to take on the power to make decisions that affect the well-being of hundreds of millions of people, this is the sort of public accountability that is, and should be, the price of that freedom, at least in a free society.
