What stops them from setting up a roadblock near any access point?

I’m still stepping past the shock of this decision, which looks like a decision made as part of a back-room forced deal (the kind of deal in which you publicly lie to Senators in order to get support for your nomination).

Just remember that America is systemically racist.  And this is what systemic racism looks like.

The notion that I should not be allowed to decide what to do with my remaining embryos...

As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion,...” - Treaty of Tripoli Article 11 (1805)

Had Ginsburg retired, you’d have had 5 Justices voting to overturn Roe instead of 6. So how is this Ginsburg’s fault?

The really sad thing is, that, in the ‘90s it would almost certainly have been possible to get some serious federal legislation on this passed...

VPs have historically been virtually invisible. They have no defined role in government other that presiding over the Senate. Bush was virtually invisible under Reagan. Mondale was a cypher under Carter. Quyle only made news when he said something particularly idiotic. Biden was mocked in memes as wandering around the

No, it didn’t.

If trivial crap like this is the sort of thing you find to complain about, then you aren’t oppressed.

When sex is voluntarily engaged in, the resulting pregnancy is not involuntary. When you deliberately stab yourself in the leg, you are not “involuntarily bleeding” simply because you’d rather not be leaking precious bodily fluids. When you eat food, you are not “involuntarily excreting” when you take a dump.

So, you’d rather fund abortion pills than contraception. You’d rather finance the termination of a life than take steps to ensure that there is no need to terminate a life.

Most threatening of all, no language in today’s decision stops the Federal Government from prohibiting abortions nationwide...

So...these hypothetical women would be consenting to this. And you have a problem with consent...? That took an unexpected yet entirely predictable left turn into the ludicrous.

While it is true that no rape has ever been prosecuted by any State at any time thoughout the entire history of life of Earth....

You mean like how States imposed their moral choices on women to sterlize them under Buck v Bell, a decision you guys were praising a few months ago?

O.K., it looks like they all joined Thomas’ opinion as well, so it’s less of a clusterfuck than I originally thought, but what the fuck is going on here? That’s three opinions splitting six justices (against a three-justice minority that all use the same opinion).

“Give me your driver’s license, registration and insurance. If not, you will not be going to work today. Simple thing, man,” the unnamed cop said as 29-year-old Gerardson Nicolas recorded with his cell phone from the driver’s seat of his car. “This is how you guys get killed out here, man.”

When have the staff at Jez ever cared about evidence or legal rulings?  Hereabouts accusation is guilt.  Unless its politically inconvenient.

This ruling will be enforced by the people. There are a whole lot of gun owners in the US. They’ve been getting progresively more fed up with gun control bullshit for decades. The Court has finaly vindicated their perspective. What do you think is going to happen if states try to ignore this ruling?
