Yes

Why do you want all these rare enthusiast cars in the care of somebody who doesn’t care about them? Let Mayweather have his pretty garage art, and the rest of us have the fun stuff without soulless speculators driving up prices!

You can’t get a steal like that if you custom order. You can however get rebates or some discounts depending on the model.

Expensive unreliable cars whose primary attraction is luxury are the hardest hit. 20 years from now I could see somebody picking up a $160K Maserati Quattroporte or Gran Turismo for $25K. See also: Panamera Turbo S

If we are going there, what about the hippies on Dragnet!!!

The Prius had its time in the sun being classless, but it has fallen out of favor of celebrities the last few years, probably because there are more luxurious eco-friendly options available.

Yes, for a glorious moment.

Porsche 959 had the first 6-speed, in 1986. 911 didn’t get it until the 993, in 1993.

Awesome!

Maybe one day I will get to try or own one. I am glad you are enjoying yours! Meanwhile, the 911 is not too boring ;)

Yes, they would allow you to test drive the car you now owned. How very accommodating of them :(

Yes Tesla treats you very nicely! The Penske-owned BMW dealer here has also been very accommodating.

So true! Doug just needs to replace name dropping famous cars he’s owned with name dropping famous athletes, have more footnotes, and reference more stupid 80’s movies.

Seriously! I think they have changed management / name since then. Maybe it is better now. I wasn’t asking to drive their most expensive Aston Martin Vanquish or anything - it was a 10 year old Elise selling for $35K. Stuck up morons!

I have no idea. I’m 35, dress nicely, pull up in a nice car, and I still can’t get people to take me seriously sometimes. I think it is because I look much younger. Sometimes you just have to try a different dealer.

The local Lotus dealer told me I could test drive AFTER I bought the car. I ended up with a Porsche 911 instead.

Cool, thanks!

Can you fit a bike in the back with seats folded?
