I don't think it works like that. Sticking a GTR or M3 or Z06 or 919 in a showroom enhances the appeal for the brand and makes you want to be a part of it, even if you are only there to buy a Altima, X1, Impala, Boxster, etc...

Norbert Singer. He designed the 956 and 962, and was a key guy for all of Porsche's Le Mans victories.
...that is the worst case of hemorrhoids I have ever seen...
The new one is not "great" yet. Maybe next time!
Ferrari will survive, but I could see this car putting Lamborghini out of business!
You make a good point actually - everybody else is behind the times. MPG and emissions is very important for marketing modern supercars. These are halo cars which reflect the values and direction of the brand.

Front license plates. Why are you going to drill holes in my brand new bumper and stick on an ugly slab of metal (at a sloppy angle because you didn't even measure) with mismatched bolts, accented ever so tastefully with your dealer's free advertising frame?
That is an old person's vert. I don't think anybody in their 20's would aspire to one. For the yuppie, anything European would trump anything Japanese or American.
Hey if you are going to use five, I can use 3 :)

I got my 2006 997 (base coupe) for 26k. Deals are out there.
Because they are amazing and everybody exaggerates how ugly 996's are. Wake up sheeple!
