I agree. A large portion of my friends spent our twenties desperately roaming the countryside with a man-sized net. Smart, funny, awesome women charging after the sub-par male stock we’ve got stinking up the world. They all married down in terms of intelligence, ambition, competence, character, and personality but

Haha I’m a similar age and one of my colleagues just went on mat leave and she’s the same age as me. When I found out she was prego my (inner) reaction was “oh no what is she going to do?” and then I remembered that she’s an adult in a long term relationship with a full time job and this is what people do.

That was a very touching video honestly

She has some good/loyal friends seeing as none of this leaked. That’s nice that she has a good support system. It does seem like she will be a good mom.

While I like Mindy Kaling and would totally watch this show, I find your comment hilarious.

when they met.....it was murder

Another show with a successful Mindy Kaling having a baby/pining over some emotionally unavailable white guy. i’ll pass.

My personal choice would be Elk Grove Village West.

My favorite Drunk History: Octavia Spencer as Harriet Tubman.

Now playing

I think this and the Harriet Tubman one may be tied for my favorites...Octavia Spencer deserved an Emmy for her performance:

This happened to me all the time before I had kids. I once was even told I needed to be on call for our department every holiday. Every single one. I was in Business Development at an online site. It was so insane. No one ever called, but still F them.

I married late(r) in life and we can’t have children. Most of my career has been hearing, from bosses and coworkers, how little my time as a single person/child-free person meant.

The stereotype of the man, especially the corporate man, as “provider” is so pervasive and damaging to men and women.

It’s sad how deep the socialization of girls and women to be embarrassed, polite even when rightfully upset about something, and go “oh dear, how guache to talk about that” goes. We’ve been so poisoned against ourselves that even when we’re right, our first instinct is to label any non doormat/wallflower behavior as

Oh, screw this woman. It’s a hard fall from her high horse.

Finally! Someone speaking my language! Enough of these sparkly naysayers

I’m going with True, True West

This was a bad date. She had a horrible date with a clueless guy who thought he was being sexy and hot. She was made to feel uncomfortable, and it wasn’t right.

Wendy Williams is and was a piece of shit.
