I speak a decent amount of German and have relatives there. A lot of slang just doesn’t fully translate. A lot of times, the meaning depends on the context.

If you are funding this guy by buying his products, you seriously need to check yourself.

First, the headline is inaccurate, it wasn’t a “Ukrainian attack on Russia,” it was supposed to be a Ukrainian attack on the Russian fleet in Ukraine, since Crimea is a Russian-occupied part of internationally recognized Ukraine.

Not that I’m siding with the Russians, but it does seem kind of dumb that it’s literally illegal for the plane to take off, but it’s still getting charged parking fees. Seems like a situation to have a waiver for one empty flight of only crew to bring it out of the country

While this is definitely a more sympathetic case for the cops than other situations where someone is killed, based on the write up, it sounds like an excessive use of violence by the police. And another example of why cops need better training and hiring policies need to focus on finding people who are able to better

Now with all the discounts applied you can get into a cool T car in the high 30's that needs no gas, needs little maintenance, updates itself, and is not slow.

I mean, Elon aside, their lineup is starting to feel stale, there’s very little development happening that I can tell. No announcements of new models or model updates, Obvious issues getting around production hurdles, meanwhile, manufacturers are beginning to release actual interesting BEVs that people might be more

Good. For once a rich asshole faces the consequences of their own actions. I am literally ashamed of myself that at one time I had respect for this guy. It makes me truly wonder how his awful behavior was kept out of the public’s eye for so long. Because people don’t become assholes over night. He has probably always

With the Toyota Crown, That’s the second ugly two-tone Red & Black vehicle I wish I hadn’t seen this week

If Honda introduced a new Element with similar styling to the old one, it would PRINT money, no marketing required.

The Cybertruck is never going to be built, despite whatever fantasies you choose to play out in your head.

The fundamental question you are asking is, “Should we use public funding to encourage EV adoption?” and the answer generally is Yes.  EVs are becoming more and more affordable each year.

Yeah so Google Maps says the bridge and both islands are clearly on Canada’s side of the border...

I don’t think anyone with any measure of intelligence is recommending ditching a perfectly good car for an expensive EV to save money. That argument comes in a little bit when comparing new cars when you’re ready to get one. Gas where I live is about $4.30/gallon right now. If I fill up once a week, that’s about

fuck, this is dumb

Nearly $10k for a nearly 20 year old car that’s not really sought after? That seems absurd.

It’s got some kitsch value. Nowhere near $7500, but some. It could be fun for $1k, as long as the seller replaces that Ed Gein steering wheel with something I would be willing to touch.

Read the headline and saw the first picture, strong no dice, started reading, vehement no dice, got to the steering wheel pic, “kill it with fire, launch the ashes into space or bury them deep in the ground”

The GMC Hummer:

Tesla Model S. There, I said it.
