I agree with you on the trailer. It looks bad and makes me think this show will be full of basic crude humor. I will not be watching. I don't think the idea for the show is as bad as some people are making it out to be though. When I read she had her jaw wired shut and lost weight I thought it was intentional but the

I remember that movie.

Gotcha. The declaration at the end sounded different in my head on the first pass.

I’m surprised that Kate is in her pre-pregnancy clothes so quickly after giving birth to her third child a mere 3 months ago?

This is typical baby of the family whining. Geez! You guys are the most loved and get away with the most shit. - signed, Oldest.

No spoilers, but my take on the ending of this book is that it pretty much undermines anything political it’s trying to say about how we consume these tragedies. I had the same thoughts about Gone Girl though, so probably personal preference. It’s still kinda irking me that the series takes itself so seriously though.

This whole administration is ONE FECKLESS CUNT.

You know the problem with that phrase? We need to apply it to more people--especially male people. I mean, Jared Kushner is a feckless cunt. Jeff Sessions is a feckless cunt. Michael Cohen is a feckless cunt.

Can you.

GOOD LUCK!?!?!?! That feckless cunt

I loved this book and I find quite a few of Sarah Waters’ books are *really* slow burns like this. I gave The Paying Guests back to the library because nothing had happened in 200 pages, then I took it out again and lo and behold, it all paid off in the end. I can’t wait for this movie.

What the hell is there to lose by doing that?’

I just checked the wiki page and Holy Aqua Net, that is some 80s hair

I really need to watch Prime Suspect. Not sure why I keep putting it on my binge watch back burner, though I suspect it might be that I know I’d probably burn through it and feel a bit depressed when it’s over, despite it being at least 7 seasons long.

Glad someone else spotted this - not an ‘original thriller’ by any means, and the British series was absolutely brilliant. The moment where Bella realises ... well, no spoilers here.

Are you watching the reruns of Tenko on cable at the mo? Bliss! I think possibly I was too young for Widows too, as I watched the last episode on a school trip - and cried buckets over Dolly killing you-know-who.

This is making me SO angry! It’s not original, Lynda La Plante was the fucking queen of TV and the piece doesn’t even mention her.

Who wrote Prime Suspect

FYI It’s not an original script, it’s based on an 80's British TV series by Lynda La Plante.
