I think saying it is bad for YOU is perfectly acceptable and sufficient.
Yes. Granny Mignot. Who has an "adipose chuckle" and "puff ball" hands.
I am too old to care about his actual career/music/whatever, but he has endeared himself to me as Robin on The Barry Gibb talk show, with his videos with Andy Samberg, and—in this clip—his nervous rubbing of his thighs and his self-deprecating eyeroll around 0:30.
*sigh*
I did not pretend to be French-speaking. That is your fantasy projection, troll. (BTW I do read and write French, as well as speak fluent Spanish, read Italian passably, and know a bit of Tajik, Russian, and Swahili, but I like your fantasy projection about how you are so much smarter than me.) I doubt that YOU are…
Whatevs, troll.
What CryptArc is saying is that the face veil is not required by the religion. Covering, and the amount of covering, is a cultural expression. Think of the parallels in Christian believers: Mennonite women cover their hair at least partially, because their sect interprets The Bible in a way that makes them think…
I'm with you on this, Legal Cookie, but for slightly different reasons, not about angering Them: I think that this kind of language normalizes abortion as a birth control method and is thus misguided. Abortion is a SHITTY form of birth control. It's expensive, distressing, and an actual medical procedure with actual…
Surveys and interviews. For example, "The Bureau of Justice Statistics conducts the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) each year to measure reported and unreported crime, including rape and other sexual assaults. Every six months, the NCVS interviews residents 12 years or older in approximately 50,000…
The good/bad part is that it is always people I disagree with who do it to that extent. The kind of people who say things like, "Wake up,,,,your a idiot,,,,lol" That kind of crap. I didn't think the same of you, but I thought, "Aha! Here is a REASONABLE person I can ask about the comma ellipsis!" Alas. Or, rather,…
I think you don't understand what I am describing. I am talking about a person using ellipses like 10 times in one comment, and each time they use commas. That is not a typo. That is a style.
Yeah, people do the commas instead of periods thing all the time, often multiple times in one comment (which is doubly weird, because no one needs that many ellipses in the first place). I hesitate to ask such people about the comma "ellipses" because I think they are CRAZY. So I must live in continued ignorance.
In re: vaccines. With the FIV vaccine, one study showed "84% of the vaccinated cats in the study were protected based upon stringent testing requirements." Other studies have had similar results. The FeLeuk vaccine has a similar efficacy. So, yes, those vaccines won't stop the diseases, but since this isn't a…
Yeah, I was confused. What did they actually mean to say, do you think?
He's letting them go outside because not everyone thinks cats should remain inside. He is one of those people. As am I. My outdoor cats have lived to the ages of 14, 18, 18, and unknown because she's still alive. There are these things called vaccinations, and my cats only catch rodents. My house is 300 square feet,…
I know many highly intelligent people who are exceedingly socially fluent. Not everyone is exactly like you. I'm surprised that a MENSA member wouldn't know that!!!
I'm with you Eldritch. I was on usenet in the 80s. You know, before there WAS a World Wide Web. I am a chick in my early 40s. And baby*deer is a troll who calls people "honey," thereby undermining any claims to NOT be a troll. NO ONE calls you "honey" on the internet except your mom and trolls.
I have two cats, one is named Vespa (he was named that when I got him, and I like it so I didn't change it). The other is Budget, because I think it's funny and mostly I call her "kitten" or things like "Budgimer Jones" and "ding-dong." And I love her as only a 42-year-old spinster can love a funny-looking and weirdly…
