Does it matter at all that the actual game is going to be 50 miles away and probably at least two hours driving?

“Most distant object” is a bit of puffery. There are long period comets and other TNOs that have aphelions further out than 103 AU.
Just do more Cinematic Titanic. Those were pretty good.
Yes, exactly. And while you may be a rational bidder, in my experience there are a large number of eBayers who are not rational. They either bid incrementally up until they surpass your bid (“nibblers”), or upon receiving the email from eBay notifying them that they’ve been outbid they hustle back over to the site and…
When I was a child, there was no technology.
Check out a sniping service. I use PhantomBidder. When I see an item I want, rather than punching my bid into eBay I enter my max bid into PhantomBidder, which then bids on my behalf mere seconds before the auction closes.
If I snipe, there is no chance for them to bid after me.
You would be correct, if people were rational. They are not. My experience with eBay is that if you place a max bid early you run into “nibblers” who bid over and over, pushing your bid up. (Some of these nibblers may in fact be shills for the seller.)
Oh yeah. I rocked that phone for years. If there was a phone out there with that keyboard and up-to-date specs I’d be a customer all day long.
It’s a nice thought, but the data doesn’t bear out your bottom line. NYC has some of the best public transportation in the country, and yet if you zoom in there you still see an inordinate amount of death.
Nolan Bushnell (ex-Atari, ex-Chuck E. Cheese) has a great rant on this. He basically says we really want to save lives we should forget about world peace and focus on perfecting self-driving cars. Automobile accidents kill far more people than all the wars and terrorism in the world.
I anxiously await your manifesto.
Is Apple still in a pissing match with Amazon? An Amazon streaming app would make this box complete.
It has a Great Auk on it. Good luck spotting one of those on your bird-watching trips. They’ve been extinct since 1844.
OK, honestly, the poster is cool, but the quality of illustration is not exactly Audubon level.
I just want to point out that my choice of personal electronic device is far superior to your choice of personal electronic device for many reasons.
That. Is. Awesome.
Except it’s not real, is it? There doesn’t seem to be anyplace to actually buy one.
The good news is that at $34 it’s a reasonable price. Compared to the official Apple dongles, it’s a steal.
Indeed. A much more interesting display would show Bond, starting at frame 1 of Dr. No, going from destination to destination (including his journey to space in Moonraker).
