The only times a ‘good guy with a gun’ stops a ‘bad guy with a gun’ are when cops preemptively shoot people. Without fail, these stories end up being ‘racist cop murders unarmed minority person’ and the stories are quickly swept under the rug to make way for the next wave of awful news.

There’s nothing more American than conflating a brand name with some specific political / ideological point of view. Race cars, delivery pizza, clothing brands, etc. are all expected to ‘say things’ about us. You know what I say? Fuck that.

Historical examples in other civilized societies says we should see massive change almost immediately. But - this is America! Let’s not reality get in the way of our preconceived notions.
