It’s reasonable to give people a pass (or two, because some of us are just terrible with names) if you care about how your name is pronounced. They should get it right, once corrected. If they keep getting it wrong — hmm.

Not every culture pronounces vowels the same way. If you live somewhere with a heavy Latin influence, people might say “Kah-Beer”. If you live somewhere else, say Australia where vowels are handled differently due to Aboriginal street / city names, people might say “Kay-Bur”.

I saw video recently of the Nazi dudes marching. Some of the dudes behind the shield wall took potshots are passers-by, or pepper sprayed random people…

Sounds like they need to add some ‘racial bias’ questions to 1st and 2nd year medical exams. Med students exhibiting an egregious racial bias will have to do a remedial course on the human species.

You can use a thin comb as a ‘guard’ for trimming. Use the comb to get the hair to ‘stand up’ and then run an electric trimmer along the comb. You’re left with about 5mm of hair. Long enough not to be scratchy, but still very short. Works well for dudes.
