Thanks

My All-Weather tires performed magnificently in -40c, driving on compacted snow.

But have you tried All-Weather tires, a much different beast to 3 season tires.

All Weather tires last around 80-100k, Summer/Spring tires will do about 120k

All Weather tires not All Season.........they perform brilliantly in the frozen north.

I didn’t say All Season tires, I’m talking about All Weather tires.

Yes, you do here if you drive into the interior or mountains. Fortunately All Weather tires are compliant with federal laws on the matter.

Do explain?

That’s why the tread pattern is designed to work in all conditions. The compound is also important as rubber becomes harder in cold weather, and so All Weather tires need to have a compound that works in all weather conditions.

No, I just know what I’m talking about

Very true

They are softer and so wear quicker but not significantly

Agreed, that’s why I wouldn’t have All Season tires on my car

A set of All Weather tires, that are snow rated, cost approx $1200-1300

That’s why you should use All Weather tires instead of All Season, they are approved by Transport Canada for snow, etc.

All Weather tires are good for 80-100k, spring/summer tires for about 120k

Yes, I often laugh at people who drive on snow with summer tires

Way are you laughing at your own stupidity?

Yes and all-weather tires are rated as snow tires

All weather tires not all season
