It was an interesting read and it makes some sense but, as per the article I posted, some experts disagree that its working or the best method. Just because its the method in place right now doesn’t mean alternatives shouldn’t be explored.

I’m not an expert in the area so wouldn’t have a clue, but logic seems to dictate that killing is an inefficient way to go about preservation. Kill to feed yes, kill to protect no. Living in Canada I am exposed to hunting for food. I have friends who live in Calgary & Vancouver and they hunt because they enjoy it and…

That doesn’t mean there are alternatives that should be explored.

Trophy hunting is the issue here really, hunting for food is not but people just see hunting as evil full stop. I suppose thats the problem when the vast majority of us simply by our meat from the grocery story and have become detached from the living, breathing creature.

None in North Van or Downtown today. Maybe further into the valley or south to the shithole that is Surrey. Seen plenty of Metro’s but never an Esteme. A quick search on Autotrader shows 1 Esteme for sale within 100km of Vancouver. So they must have very loyal owners.

Looks like a great road to go longboarding, rather than the streets around my house that seem to attract boarders. Said boarders seem to have little care for themselves or the road conditions/rules.
