People desperately want to ignore that and will take any excuse to do so.

Yeah, the fact that so many anti-vaxxers are otherwise leftists is the second-most embarrassing thing about being on this side of the aisle (the refusal of liberals to vote in bye-elections being the first). They're idiots, and they're our idiots, and that makes the herd stupider overall.

Are holocaust denials killing children by exposing them to easily-preventable disease?

Not when they're in my coffee because you're so vain.

Jet fuel can't cause learning disabilities!

I always assumed he did it because his wife said so. Not because I have a high opinion of Cutler, but because I have a low opinion of him.

Sure. Episcopalians seem to be in open war over homosexuality. 150 years ago US Baptists split over slavery; everything old is new again (though there's a lot more Baptists out there and it's still a split church).

That's democracy in a nutshell.

Every State this year had a slew of anti-Trans, anti-Gay Marriage laws this year. In blue states they died in committee, but in some redder ones they advance. It's not a coincidence, but an organized push. The GOP really believe it'll work as a get-out-the-vote measure, relying on people's nervousness and distaste for

Sheesh; maybe those tactical defeats they've been suffering in the War on Christmas have taken their toll. But seriously, the Christian Right has been pushing outright Kulturkampf since Bush I. It's just they've now gone to rearguard victimization instead of thinking they could win.

I remember being a young child and naturally assuming anyone displaying that sign was a racist. But luckily they have zero legal standing (as demonstrated when racists tried to use them in the 50s to discriminate outside the South).

They buy our elections and lobby the people that do get elected in ways we can't touch. No reason not to go directly into law-vetoes.

Money: still very, very important.

We used to have a local critic who hated Buckaroo Banzai with the rage of a thousands suns, and any movie that was in any way similar in vibe or content would get attacked as garbage. He just hated, hated, hated that movie and would occasionally bring it up just to rag on it. It was hilarious; but if you didn't know

Odd thing is on pure taste I liked Jolt more than Coke (too acidic) and Pepsi (too sweet). Jolt dialed down the cola flavor to its benefit, allowing the sugar to just be sugar. It was still cola, so not great, but even without the buzz I found it superior.

But does it have that awful energy drink taste? It's not quite fermenting fruit, not quite mild-gasoline. Plus, since guarana and taurine have been proven to do nothing by themselves, sugar and caffeine come just as easily in many sodas, coffees and teas.

I remember seeing ads or ad-like media for it and was curious as I expected it was a cartoon series, so it must've been in pay cable maybe? It never occurred to me until halfway though this review that it was a standalone movie.

I hear there's an aluminum can shortage now because all the hipsters want their beer and cider in cans for unfathomable reasons.

Was Ronchie a rejected friend for Richie Cunningham? He came from the wrong side of the tracks, but Ronchie was a good egg. You just had to be careful when he got drunk.

I was amused in the RLM review where Mike was horrified at the prospect of a Wonder Woman movie because he thought Gadot was beyond terrible. People have said she's had issues with English, so we'll have to see if she can really carry a whole movie where she has to emote and talk a lot.
