I’ve chosen to cope with the next four years by openly pretending that Bernie won the election.

He ran for president, it’s not like he’s living off the grid wearing clothes he hewed out of burlap sacks.
Vermonter and longtime Bernie voter here. This is really lame.
The Democratic Party has not represented Progressives for quite some time. If you want 100% of Progressives to vote Democrat, pandering to the center and center right is a poor strategy. The fact that HC got so many far left voters is a shock to me - but goes to your point of “shut up and take what the DNC gives…
It’s pretty ironic advice considering Bill Clinton is from Hope, Arkansas.
Yes. Look at the states that received the most votes for Jill Stein. Folks are delirious or really bad math if they think 3rd paties swung the results. The only state you MAYBE could argue is Michigan, but even turning that state wouldn’t have changed the results of the other swing states. Trippin.
“Instead the Left picked up the “just as bad/war hawk” tagline of the alt-right and ran with it.”
It depends on how shaky they think Minnesota is in the next few years. It isn’t as rock solid blue as the rest of the country thinks (our state legislature is now a GOP majority in both houses).
so the fuck what?
But you have found your people in this thread. (I totally still love trying out pens in office supply stores. I can’t buy pens online.)
YES!!!!
The other night I was waiting in the subway station, absentmindedly watching an advertisement for some new Amazon…
Voted for Bernie as did most of the people I know. Did a little work for Bernie. Who are these Berniebros I keep reading about online, mostly here?
Come to Oregon! It’s where everyone from California moves to when they realize California sucks complete ass.
Yes, but see, we can increase blue numbers in red areas, while still being “protected” by a committed blue state. win-win!
Way north where? Redding? Go far enough up I-5 and the culture gets pretty red statey.
Point taken.
I wouldn’t tout Arizona too much unless you’re talking about Tucson, Tempe, Phoenix, Flagstaff or Sedona. Most of the other towns are conservative, gun loving Trump supporters. Trust me, lived in this state my WHOOOOOLE life and have traveled to every corner of it.
