I find the worst drivers tend to own either Toyotas or BMWs. Now, it’s just a pure coincidence that my wife has driven both, but I was saying that even before then.

Don’t forget the Thunderbird got there a couple years earlier!

I snagged a set of these at a local scrapyard for $10, with a vision of them filling my Corvair’s concave cowl. That was 1983....they’re still sitting in my garage...

I nominate the last few years of the Lincoln Mark VII. That full width neon across the back end was very futuristic looking. The technology of using neon didn’t last, LEDs took that mantle... but it sure did look amazing.

Late 60's Mercury Cougar with those sweet sequential turn signals that are now commonplace on mustangs:

You’d think after Ford had this exact same failure mode from 92-’04 that it wouldn’t happen again. Even from another manufacturer.

The Range Rover’s proper full name including both brand and model being “Land Rover Range Rover” has always struck me as incredibly awkward, and I honestly don’t know anyone who ever refers to it that way instead of just “Range Rover”.

My friend Neil called his Ranger Rover “The pickpocket”. He said “It’s so fast and so smooth, you’ll never notice the heaps of cash leaving your wallet and going to the mechanic.”

Jeez, there’s a lot of haters here. It’s 4/20, man. Mellow out, pop a gummy, and look at those sweet basketweave BBS wheels, soak in fender flares, and think about twisting up the boost controller while the negativity melts away, man.

A couple things in the article are incorrect, but most is accurate. Example, only the #1 car had steel bodywork, the rest were fiberglass. There were also an even smaller number of V8 versions made later either as promo cars for Ford, or Dealer Special Order versions like mine below. They were dubbed the “Mustang GT

kits that faithfully recreate the Ford GT”

Also known as fucking in Denver.

Holy shit, Owen. You’re gonna be here for the death of this place.

I like shifting gears and the changes of acceleration throughout the powerband.  Balancing that with throwing a car around a racetrack at it’s absolute limit is a challenge that I find fun.  Instant torque is fun but it’s a one trick pony that gets old after a few launches.

4th Gear: “I guess we’ll no longer be able to say “Oakville’s got an Edge.” Did anyone ever say that?”

When you learn the EPA doesn’t have the power to make and enforce laws yet they’ve been illegally doing so for years......

Huh, who’d have thought..... The EPA yet again making demands with no valid plan on how to achieve them.

This is wonderful to hear now, but if I had known this when I was 12, it would’ve been the greatest thing to have ever happened to me and would’ve been the most significant milestone in my life for years to come.

I feel aweful for everyone involved here. For the loss of life, for the loss of a son. For the officers who have to live with taking a life (leaving out whether or not it was justified...you still gotta live with that).
