I was just down in Mexico a week or so ago and saw these things everywhere! Most were beat to hell, and very overloaded, but it was super cool to see them none-the-less. There were probably 3x as many Rangers as F150's.

While it was quite an impressive feat, I don’t see how this excites anyone to watch F1.
After being there for 6 days last week for SEMA, I can tell you for sure that it was a nightmare. But Vegas is always a nightmare to get around, and the roads are terrible and always under construction. I do feel for the uber drivers though. Overall, it’s hard to say how good or bad it will be for the city until after…
If diesel trucks without emissions compliant systems are so bad, why does Gale Banks sell tuned Duramax-diesel engines for military vehicles with no emissions controls on them? Ford and GM also sell tons of emissions system free vehicles to the military and overseas but it’s a crime if we delete our own trucks. This…
Can’t believe people will pay these crazy prices to watch a conveyor belt of cars go by with minimal passing. Especially when we already know who will win the race and the championship. The locals are pissed, and I can’t blame them!
They are cool but complete piles of junk. Just got rid of my gf’s 2013 Sport and while it was a lot of fun to drive, the maintenance costs and repair bills were insane. We sold it for 4k to an auto broker, and he put about 14k in repairs and it still had issues.
Pretty damn funny that we live in a time that it’s almost impossible to tell the difference between an Altima and a Mercedes sedan.
I love how even on a car blog, the writer can’t tell the difference between a Fiesta and a Focus.
This is a great throw back to the movie; the best one one yet IMO! It’s great that they are teammates in real life and I hope to see them drafting together on Sunday!
That’s the truth. I’ve found that they like the appearance of the top down look, but the air in your hair feeling of the windows down much more.
Absolutely more practical, yes.
#COTD Wait, is that even still a thing?
If you had a 1999 Ford E-Series, then you’d likely still have it and it’s probably still on the road.
Sadly, it’s much better written than this article was. Jalopnik is doomed.
I’ve always thought these were cool since I was a kid. Always wondered how Saleen decided it was worth the effort for such a low production vehicle, but its definitely cool! It’s already at $15,250 w 6 days remaining!
Is it the blower, or the powersteering pump? lol
Ford already has one actually. Maybe they could lease it out to Waymo and they could do their beta testing off of public roads.
That’s a great way of looking at it. Constant maintenance, problems that can’t be fixed but create massive repair bills, oil leaks, oil consumption, electrical issues etc., and the list goes on and on.
These things are ultra rare and super cool! I love the idea of it, but it was almost ahead of it’s time and was far too expensive.
Great article, I really enjoyed it. It was a nice to read an article that wasn’t Anti-NASCAR for once on this site.
