That’s a great way of looking at it. Constant maintenance, problems that can’t be fixed but create massive repair bills, oil leaks, oil consumption, electrical issues etc., and the list goes on and on.

These things are ultra rare and super cool! I love the idea of it, but it was almost ahead of it’s time and was far too expensive.
Great article, I really enjoyed it. It was a nice to read an article that wasn’t Anti-NASCAR for once on this site.
Go ahead and take your new vehicle through the wash, and then bring it to me for a full paint correction and ceramic coating. New paint is thinner than ever before, chips easily, and the clear is super soft. All you have to do is look at any newer, darker colored vehicle and see how wrecked they get from these auto…
In what market? Truck prices are still insane here in Colorado.
The 5.0 Coyote V8. Plenty of power, loves boost, reliable, and get decent fuel economy for what they are.
Well SVT kind of molded with Ford Racing to become Ford Performance so he’s not entirely wrong.
We bought one of these for $500 bucks a few years ago. Same color, manual trans, almost the same mileage, but ours has leather seats. Perfect shop run around car, and actually kind of fun to drive too.
Hell no! My GF has a 2013 version of this and it’s nothing but problems. Sweet looking, comfortable, and quick, but horrible fuel economy, constantly breaking, expensive to fix (if you can even fix it), permanent lights on the dash, etc. STAY AWAY!

As someone who lives in Colorado, I’d say Subaru’s, Tesla’s, and most Toyota’s.
That always made me laugh as well. I don’t know if it’s target fixation or just plain stupidity.
If this was in Colorado, the driver would have just chosen to ram the line of stopped vehicles.
Why not? Tons of pedestrians are hit when they walk in the street, it happens all the time in my town. Sure, drivers are careless, distracted, etc, but pedestrians are also careless, don’t look where they are going and often wear only dark clothes at night. Its not one or the other.
This is one of the areas that NASCAR shines. While it may be more difficult to find niche drivers’ apparel, there’ still much of it available at the tracks and an endless supply available online. I recently purchased a bunch of 1 year old shirts from Stewart Hass Racing, and each one was only $6!
That was my first thought as well haha
Magnesium chloride, or a salt brine mix works well but is more expensive than just salting the roads.
As a NASCAR fan you have to admit that’s quite the collection, however I try to keep all my NASCAR stuff down in my mancave, even though I’m a bachelor.
