This happens to most of them...just a normal characteristic of the vehicle. The older Chevy trucks did it as well, but at least the handle would hold it in place once the tabs were broken.

Couldn’t agree more. Then I remember they are from Boulder, and I remember why I can’t stand the show. It is fun seeing a bunch of locations I’m familiar with though.
As soon as I saw 2010 Escape, I said “Of F***” Lol, knew it was an A/C issue. The rear quarter panels were probably rusting out as well. They are pretty solid other than those two issues. (I used to do warranty approvals for Ford).
I hate to say this, but it seems like every other used car that I detail, has at least one of these trim pieces broken. Just the downside to cheap plastic components.
When I did warranty work for Ford, every once in a while we would have a seat cover that was damaged, and when the dealer went to submit it for Prior Approval, would mention the customer’s weight. We were told multiple times by the higher-ups that it doesn’t matter. If it’s under warranty, you replace the seat cover…
Probably wasn’t adjusted right. I went through a couple of them before I figured out how to get it adjusted properly. Ended up just going back to all stock components and never had another problem.
Colorado is a shit hole!! Reasons like this are why you should never live there!!!
His “Bitch” wife is smart. Never live in that shit hole.
Shit, all of mine have lasted well over 200k, and have been worked hard, and beaten on. I wouldn’t buy another brand. The 5.4 3 valve had the most issues, but they are still pretty decent.
I installed a new mirror for the owner of a 15 Golf TDI yesterday, he wanted it in perfect shape before he returned it. What a nightmare, had no idea how difficult it would be to install a new mirror, but leave it to VW to make it a royal PITA. Fuck those pieces of shit!
Almost all talk radio sucks, except for Dave and Chuck the freak in Detroit, seriously the best part of living in that hell-hole.
Flat rock, Michigan.
Of the 380k Subaru’s built a year in Indiana, 350k of them end up here in Colorado, or at least it feels like that.
LMAO, and here I am, trying to get the correct color match on a mirror cap for a customer’s 15 GOLF that he damaged..just so he can return it.
Who do you think we are? Canadians?
Yeah, based on the looks of things, British Columbia/Vancouver greater area seems to be doing just fine other than the cost of housing (Thanks Chinese!).
Hamlin doesn’t seem to be the kind of a guy with a sense of humor if you ask me.
My 220k mile F150 didn’t mind big jumps and even got a former Jalopnik Hoon Of the Day Feature http://jalopnik.com/5930495/you-dont-need-a-raptor-to-jump-an-f-150
I thought that was “classic” like the Malibu Classic.
I agree with all the badge bullshit, but the sad thing is that people love it.
