Two vehicles that I am still fond over were both purchased for under $1,500, had over 200,000 miles, and made for some great youtube videos (one even featured as HOTD!). I even ended up doubling my money on the F150.

"Why did you turn!?!?!?!?" "I didn't turn!"
If the high insurance prices don't make you move, why else would you? *sarcasm*
When I lived in the Mitten, I paid $118 a month for state minimum coverage on a 98 Escort. I don't even pay that much for FULL COVERAGE on 3 vehicles here in Colorado. How I don't miss Michigan. Not to mention everyone's constantly trying to wreck you, the roads are shit, and covered in salt 3/4 of the year.
Very cool! I'll have to look through the collection and see what we have! I'm from Fort Collins, very cool to know you're from Denver!
I didn't know that you lived in Colorado? Sweet! Btw, we have a huge collection of CO plates, multiple from the 30's-80's if you're looking for anything specific.
and that's why it's so loved. You just have to own one to understand, it's weird, I know. I've had 3 panthers (2 Town Cars and a Grand Marquis), and looking to get a cheap CVPI.
Looks like a typical T-case in a duramax truck.
I was driving one of these the other day, and couldn't believe how horrible the brakes were, how badly it rode, and how every piece of plastic in it squeaked. The 90s may have not been the best of automotive times, but its almost like GM wasn't even trying to make a good product.
You can buy a fleet of panthers for the cost of one BMW repair! Im all seriousness , the panthers I've owned have been very reliable.
Right on. I always liked our Philco-Ford Freezer in our garage as a kid. It's still running today.
Lmao, I was just telling my gf about this yesterday and she didnt believe me
I fucking hate FS1. Honestly, I knew it was going to shit during the last couple years of the SPEED channel, but even then, stupid automotive shows "Are you faster than a Redneck?" were better than constant football and soccer programming. FS1 is a joke for automotive and racing enthusiasts, and for that reason, I…

The 3.0 has always been a good engine. My ex had one (@ 185k, nonetheless) in an Escape, and I remember being surprised by it's ability to spin the inside tire a good distance leaving the neighborhood.
I agree, I've owned 7 modular 4.6's that all had over 200k on them.
I used to live in Melvindale, right by that bridge, and some of the accidents that I saw on there were really scary, especially in the winter.
That's insanely tight! I went through the Panama Canal on a Cruise Ship over the Millennium, and it was quite the experience! I can only imagine how it would be trying to squeeze one of those things through there.
