My X3 35i is more than fast enough for day to day driving (around 5.3 sec to 60 I think) and pretty fun in sport mode on back roads. There are crossovers that aren’t totally boring, and as someone who only has room for one car, this one works out pretty well.
Europeans’ love of diesel has given London and Paris summer smog problems akin to Los Angeles in the ‘70s. Hard pass, bro.
While I agree that it does have SOME value, I’d bet total invested is well over 100k, plus the original truck purchase. I absolutely love it, but it’s a pretty big loss. I’m guessing that it’s something of a sponsored SEMA vehicle, with the go pro ads on the side and all.
Well this is interesting...someone on the car forums flagged me about this craigslist ad -which has been pulled down for “review” now..but before it went down - I was able to look at the vin # posted:
Probably the Colorado, then...? It holds value better, can fit a small family, tow/haul, and do weekly errands without a problem. That way, you can spend extra on a fun car that has already lost most of its value.
Surprisingly well.
Just don’t take her for a test drive on a concrete road or anywhere with potholes. The driver’s seat in the Evo is one of the best vantage points in the business. The passenger? One of the worst.
Just buy your engine swap well in advance of when you plan on racing. As the Tran brothers point out, Nissan SR20s would pull a premium one week before the race date.
I owned 2 1st Generation DSMs. One a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi.
Can buy a mint one for around $5k. For that kind of money, to hell with the warranty (you’re going to mod it anyway), and who the hell wants brand new?
Turbo Caravan.
I don’t hate to say it. I found TGT to be very disappointing. I love the 3 morons but the show is stiff and awful.
I hate to say this, but its better than the first season of the Grand Tour. Depending on the guest, the new guest section is tolerable at best. More car focused, and i don’t think they’re trying as hard as GT did, which to me makes it more genuine.
Not a fan of the new celebrity format but otherwise I love it. Whoever says the first season of Grand Tour was better is lying to themselves.
As 18 year veteran of the airline industry, when you are traveling for free (non-revenue), you are not supposed to draw attention to yourself and yes there is a dress code. Every pass rider knows this and it’s not a high price to fly from point A to point B for free. I blame the parents and I have zero sympathy.
Simple, buy the Charger - it’s a family car.
Tell her it gets 22mpg on the highway and seat 4 (not the best car for comfort on a road trip though). I considered a charger hellcat but I’m still scared of Chrysler reliability lol
