I would argue that a leakdown test is more important.  Often a compression test wont show a cracked ringland

Im almost positive he would have had to do some sort of management to even make it run without TGV’s and a bigger turbo.  Probably has an AP with a tune that he forgot to mention, or it was tuned open source.

You cant even get a GD STI roller for $5-$6k lol. This is about the going price (maybe even on the low end) for a running/driving STI

If compression and leakdown tests check out, this is a no hesitation NP.

I was in the market for a truck a couple months back since my ‘16 Audi S3 was beginning to be a maintenance pig. I bought a brand new ‘21 GMC Canyon elevation with the V6, locking rear end and tow package for the same price as a used 2018 SLE with 38k miles on it at a local GMC dealer. Had to drive 2 hours for the

Outside of the states that did heavy lockdowns (CA and NY) there was not really a decrease in driving whatsoever. I noticed zero difference in coastal Georgia, my wife and I driving mileage did not change as we both were still working, along with everyone else in my subdivision.

Down here in the Savannah area, the Mustangs and Camaros arent so bad, but every single meet location. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Has been lost to morons in Mopars being complete idiots. And ITS ALWAYS MOPARS.  The couple successful C&C’s have staff on hand at the entrance and exit and remind people not to be stupid...plus

From what I understand its not even really about the cost thing. The previous owner of my R32 Skyline that brought it over from Japan said its more of a cultural thing. People there just prefer new cars, they will keep buying a new Kei car or whatever every 3-5 years regardless of their change in income.

Same here, I am 5 miles from work, but A:  Not bicycle friendly at all, and B:  Its about 100 degrees and 90% humidity at 8am 8 months of the year down here in South Georgia

My wife had a new Altima as a rental for a week.  My that was a turd of a car.  I remember back in the day Altima’s were genuinely nice cars.

Or if you live somewhere with corners in the road.  These things also tear up the canyons.

Guess its time to put my 95 ITR clone up (JDM front) for sale for $20k. *I KnoW WhAt I hAvE*!!!!!

I wish my 401(k) would show an 8% return lol.

This 25 year old Honda would wipe the floor with any of those cars on an autocross course or road course though, even today. Cars are not all about how fast you can get down the 1/4 mile.

But R33 Skylines are!!!

And the best part is that used cars are pretty much worthless there, unless its a E90 or newer diesel BMW or like Mercedes or Audi.

I owned it when I lived in the UK.  Sold it before I moved back here.  I also had a 2001 A3, 2x Clio 182's, a EP3 CTR and an Accord Type R when I lived there.

1- Its beyond illegal here and at risk of getting crushed any day from the FEDS, let alone trying to insure the damn thing (It was a huge hassle to insure my LEGALLY imported Galant VR4 for anything other than driving it to and from shows, plus all the insurers wanted to see the import paperwork such as bond release,

Im about 50/50 on actually buying one in a year or two once the markups go away. My plusses are that its a nice looking car, not overpowered (yet still fast) and nothing else in the price range is as unique. My minuses are that the interior is pure BMW and no manual. A couple random thoughts I had was that there is

When I had my JDM ‘88 Galant VR4 insurance was by far the biggest headache. Hagertys would insure it, but I could not use it to drive to work and it had to be stored in the garage at all times. Geico, Progressive, Statefarm, Allstate were all no-go’s. They wanted nothing to do with it. Ended up with USAA and insuring
