I have yet to find a veloster turbo in the SE for under $10k. 2013 Gen coupes are still going for 15-20k for a clean title low mileage one.

I realize the Golf R is a good car underneath with great performance, my main issue is that I fall asleep looking at it. If I am paying $40k for a car, I want it to feel a bit “special” compared to the car its based on. RS ticks those boxes, big FMIC, huge wings, and aggressive body kit, and oh my those optional 19's

In the SE all the RS are selling for MSRP or slightly below.

Yeah but you are not getting a brand new Camaro SS or Mustang GT for under $30k.

Brought it over unchanged from the VXR8 sold in Europe and Australia (about 100bhp more and a more aggressive body than we got in the US).

They got it right with the 2013 redesign. The 3.8 was boosted to 348bhp and the 8 speed auto makes it an outstanding GT car. Too little too late though.

Ehh, not so sure about the 370Z...yes it is a little long in the tooth, but there are not many +/- 30k cars that can d0-60 times around 5 seconds flat. Off the top of my head the only other cars I can think of for around 30k that cracks 5 seconds for 0-60 is the Genesis Coupe 3.8 and the manual WRX.

Ugh...I kick myself more and more each day for not getting the ‘99 996 with 85k miles on it for 18k out the door back in 2011.

Finally bought my dream car, a 2001 Honda Accord Type R, pirates black, awesome spec list etc, paid top dollar for it. 2 days later I’m cleaning it up and doing reaearch and I find a random post on a forum about checking for bulkhead rust, so I decide to check mine, sure enough a massive hole on each side of the car,

The proper Scottish Highlands vehicle is a Land Rover Defender

The good thing is you know where all the cameras are, they are huge, bright yellow and there are warning signs, and half of them are turned off lol. I got hit by one that I thought was offline for doing 36 mph in a 30. 4 hours of sitting through a driving safety class and a £80 fee.

So in a 30mph zone, it would be 10% (3mph) + 2mph on top of that to make a total of 35mph (GPS speed) before you get “flashed” by the camera. On the motorway you can be going 79mph (GPS speed) before getting “flashed”.

When I was a freshman in college my friend had a ‘91 turbo manual and I had a ‘92 NA auto (yawn), but it looked awesome lol. I loved that car, and sometimes my friend would let me drive his, that was a mistake, those things are BEYOND fun to drive and way the boost kicks in is addictive.

Here in the UK the Cameras and vans are set at 10% +2 to account for speedometer differences and varying accuracy.

I am struggling with the same issue, my kid is a JDMophile at 14 lol. But the difference is I need something that seats 4 and is under warranty as it will be my primary work vehicle. Basically I am at a leftover new‘15 FE edition Evo X, a Focus RS or I am trying to convince my wife into a SS lol. My kid says STI

I live in the UK currently. Diesels are out of hand with modified emissions systems, etc.

Trust me, I have thought about it, but I will be trading in my ‘13 Genesis Coupe 3.8 so that just complicates things too much I feel-actually considered just keeping it, but our son is starting to outgrow the “back seats”.

Oh I agree, I dread hills. I would much rather be driving something faster here lol.

But the majority of people in Germany do not drive that fast, most keep it under 175kph or so, I’m there now for work and driving a defender 110 that tops out at 140kph lol. But even then it seems to keep up with the average flow. Of course you still get the e class estate flying by at 200+ haha.

Need a back seat, so that eliminates the Cayman, E46 is a bit old, would like to find a CPO f80 sedan but it is proving to be difficult, so is a CPO CTS-V sedan.
