Trucks need to be expensive. That's where the car companies make all their money. I've never bought a truck, but I really appreciate the financial support trucks provide to auto makers. Because of trucks I can buy a car at a hair over cost.
Plus they drive on tyres and put things in their boot.
Let's face it, pickup trucks ads full of gayness. Not that's there's anything wrong with that of course.

My Mom had a '62 Rambler American with a three-on-the-tree shifter. I remember the front seats folded down flat making a bed with the back seats. I heard it was considered vaguely scandalous that the cars could be turned into beds.
