Yeah, maybe it’s cause I’ve watched too much MadMen, but I was thinking the same thing. Aren’t women usually consumers and flexing that buying power?

I saw it today. Can’t stand it. Bravo’s programming is colorful, bubbly and fun and their new site’s aesthetic doesn’t reflect that. Catering to a straight male audience? Oh, like the wildly successful Esquire network whose channel is now defunct? Bravo needs to stick with what they know or they will lose their bread

For me, it was the richness of the diversity. Prior to attending a public high school, I attended a private school affiliated with a Baptist church and it was all I knew from K-8th. My parents, who were and still Catholic, chose to send me there when our parochial school didn’t admit me. My mom would have been fine

Wow, what a brilliant contribution to this dialogue. Your deep insight is right up there with Socrates.

Thank you. This eloquently expresses what I had in mind with my original post. Thank you for understanding.

You are right. He has done a lot to support music and the arts as well and he very well could be planning something with the money he gets.

Very true, you never get far when you count other people’s money.

You know, that’s a good point. I guess I was thinking of it in a more direct way, thinking that the money could go to support future black leaders and the next Obama. I was not thinking of the big picture and didn’t realize that yes if cash can flow and can support a black entrepreneur then that’s certainly progress

That’s some cool gear, but is any of the money going to BLM, or any HSBC or scholarships for AA youth? Or even to Obama’s eventual library? If it’s strictly for profit, then it seems a bit wrong to make some money off of the legit grief and fear that people are feeling with the new administration. It feels not quite

I’m a cradle Catholic and I approve of this message.

There’s one in LA too, same day as well.

Have you ever tried finding a small fitness studio with a trainer you could work with?

You know what, i say you go and you indulge in a little bit of popcorn. You’ve worked hard and it’s the weekend and you deserve to treat yourself.

I’m having one of those weird days where everything looks good and nothing looks quite right. I’m craving everything but want nothing. I want pizza, tacos, burgers and Panda Express and Mac and cheese. What’s on the stove is Swiss steak which will be fine but not quite what I want.

Eh, my mouth has seen worse.

It sounds interesting, but at any point does this veer off into Grey Gardens territory?

Well, at least they’re being honest?

Stop it. Or else you’re going to make me go and watch To Catch A Thief and make me question my decision to live life law abiding citizen.

Yes, except that all the talking, the critiquing and the analyzing is exactly what those designers and couture houses want in the first place. Like art, they want their designs talked about, good or bad.

Thank you for calling that out.
