I'm going to disagree with you Raph.
The Viper came in last, yet put down the 2nd fastest lap time. With mismatched and worn out tires. The Viper is no joke. Weak men need not apply.
It sounds like a beat press car was delivered with some issues. I would still take one in a heart beat.
That's exactly what is going on. The ground wire on these was way undersized, and on mine the ground pin in the tail light harness would get hot and start melting the plug and the bulb holder for the tail lights. I eventually got fed up with replacing the bulb holders and wiring harnesses and installed a dedicated…
Reminds me of this. Windows 95, baby!
I wish I could say I was joking but I still have a WB Venture (my wife's car). So far it has melted like 5 tail lights and the Overhead screen no longer functions because an aftermarket radio was installed. Also it has had many minor mechanical issues but other than that so far it's still going strong.
You'd have to be on meth to drive a vehicle like that.
Your engine problems are related to the fact that it was the 3400 GM 60 degree V6. That and the 3100 are big pieces of shit. That whole 60 degree family was the worst. My parents had a 98 Montana that decided it wasn't going to run anymore while traveling down I-94. No signs of anything wrong - it just stopped running…

It started with it burning oil. It took 3 months but we got it taken care of (the warranty peeps told us there was so much wrong with the engine…
Here's something I've been wondering about for years: why does every Japanese car, even ones never intended for…
The car in the picture is clearly a Grand Prix. Far, far more grand than a Grand Am.
I think the problem is that they confused a Grand Am with a Grand Prix.
The more things change...
Ummm.. There's part and batch numbers on that mirror... I garauntee it. Not only that but GM will be more than happy to tell you what models those mirrors are on and probably what cars they put that particular batch on.
Early jeeps were pretty bulletproof also. And they remain that way. Even with carpet.
This was the first thing that came to mind for me.
