My mother has had a theory that cars listen. As soon as you rag on the car it breaks. If you tell it that it's a good car, it treats you well. This theory has been tested and has held true more often than not.

When it comes to HUDs my 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP has one (albeit, somewhat archaic being that it was 99).  Not as uncommon as you'd think, but still as awesome!
