I would go one step further and argue that 95% of consumers who buy a SUVs with off-road capabilities (4runner, jeep, landcruiser, RR, etc.) are posers.
The Renegade is only related to the Wrangler because it’s made by Jeep and has similar styling. It’s a completely different car and the customer base is way closer to “Soccer Mom” than “Jeep Bro”.

I did around 100 hours of research before choosing the 3vZFe comparing it to a Gen 4 or a 2GR, with turbocharging it in the future plan it was by far the best option. The 2GR is a great motor, but a turbo 3VZ will walk all over it for 2/3s the cost
Jeeps make great rock Crawlers. Toyota makes great overlanding vehicles. Great on him for preventing a massive brush fire and getting video.
