I drove for a car service in the mid 2000s. We had Lincolns and Cadillacs. The ride in Lincolns was far superior to the Cadillacs, but the Caddy’s handled better. You’ve got to rob Peter to pay Paul.

Back then that was still an option on most cars.

Does that logic go the other way? My wife’s Explorer Sport has 365 hp and calls for regular gas. Will it increase its horsepower if I start adding premium?

Just wait until the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited pickup comes out.

But it’s the Cadillac of minivans.

I agree with you about the dash tackiness with this era of American car. They have since mended their ways, IMO to the point that they may be overdoing it a bit. Take a look at this GMC Sierra interior. That looks like a Cadillac cockpit to me. I’m not complaining. I wish some of the trucks I’ve owned looked like this.

I was thinking the same thing! And most of the ones I see are not senior citizen garage queens. They’re clapped out and rusty and refusing to die!

I’m a Firefighter/Paramedic and we did some deck gun training this weekend. Since we usually take it kind of easy on the weekends (only where trainings concerned), we really just did some refamiliarization with it and had a little fun playing in the water (insert gratuitous hose joke here).

False. I’m a firefighter/paramedic and we declare death pretty frequently. Not just the obviously dead either. It depends on your medical control (the ER physician we work under).

I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and my wide drives an Acura TL SH-AWD. Both are 6 speed manuals. Both have the hill-start-assist. On both cars, it can be avoided of you keep your foot off the brake while depressing the clutch. I do this often because, IMO, (at least in my personal experience) starting on a hill is a

Unfortunately, IMO, this is an acquired skill honed through several hundred miles of driving in different conditions combining city and hwy. If you don’t actively seek to learn it, you probably won’t. It also requires constant attention negating cell phones, make-up, today’s paper, the latest novel, and nachos (I’ve

One of my favorite BBC TG segments was the celebrity lap time (the real name escapes me right now), so I’d bring that to a new show.

He’s a legit car guy. He kept and restored a 70's deuce and a quarter from one of the show segments and now DD’s it. The fact that I’m a land barge lover has no bearing on my opinion.

If Edd and the current format are gone then I’m gone, too! Thank you for ruining the only legitimate car show with cars I could actually afford, Velocity.

Whenever I want to know what something’s actually selling for (not necessarily what it’s worth), I check the sold listings on Ebay. That’s the closest thing to the old adage, “it’s worth what someone will pay for it” in my opinion.

Whatever, man. I love wagons!

I grew up watching F1 and the term, “gearbox” was common in my house. I still use it today probably cuz I’m lazy and it has fewer syllables than transmission.

Manual transmission = more fun

I DD my ‘15 Wrangler Unlimited and, yes, it’s not as comfortable as the F150 Lariat I traded for it, but it’s far from uncomfortable. All four members of my family went 15 hours to Florida twice in it and we were fine. The fun factor faaaaaaar outweighs the comfort.

This wore me out. I’m going to take a nap.
